The types of cables are as follows:
(1) Electromagnetic wire: It is a coil or winding used for motors, electrical appliances and electrical instruments, and has achieved electromagnetic energy conversion, also known as winding wire. According to the material, structure, heat resistance grade and use of the insulating layer, it can be divided into four categories: enameled wire, wrapped wire, inorganic insulated magnet wire, and special magnet wire.
Enameled wire: It is a paint film formed by coating the insulating varnish on the conductive wire core and drying it as an insulating layer. Ordinary enameled wire can be divided into acetal, polyester, polyurethane, epoxy, polyesterimide, oily enameled wire, etc. Special enameled wire includes self-adhesive straight welding enameled wire, self-adhesive enameled wire, cryogen-resistant enameled wire, etc.
Wrapped magnet wire, which is tightly wrapped on bare wire or enameled wire with insulating paper, glass wire, natural wire and synthetic wire, etc., forming an insulating layer of magnet wire is called wrapped magnet wire. Including wire covered wire, glass wire covered wire, paper covered wire, film wrapped wire, etc.
Inorganic insulating magnet wire: It is a magnet wire that uses inorganic insulating materials, such as ceramics, glass films, oxide films, etc., as an insulating layer.
Special magnet wire: It is a magnet wire with insulating structure and characteristics suitable for use in special occasions, such as medium and high frequency winding wires, polyethylene insulated nylon sheathed submersible motor windings, etc.
(2) Bare wire: A wire without insulation is called a bare wire, also known as a bare conductor. It is the most basic category of wire and cable products. According to the shape, structure and use of the product, it is divided into four series: round single wire, overhead stranded wire, flexible wiring and profiled wire.
Round single wire: Also known as round wire, it is a circular single wire. From the material, there are single metal wire, round aluminum wire, round copper alloy wire, aluminum alloy wire, bimetallic wire, copper clad steel wire and aluminum clad steel wire. The round single wire can be used alone or as a stranded wire, and can be used as a wire and cable conductor, that is, to form various cores.
Stranded wire for overhead: It is a bare wire made of multiple round wires or shaped wires that are twisted or embedded. Bare wires can be made into conductors with larger cross-sections to transmit and distribute larger currents, and are relatively soft and reliable. They are widely used in various transmission and distribution lines with voltages ranging from 380V to 330kV and above. The main varieties are aluminum stranded wire, steel core aluminum stranded wire, aluminum alloy stranded wire, steel core aluminum alloy stranded wire, aluminum clad steel stranded wire, steel core aluminum clad steel stranded wire, expanded diameter steel aluminum stranded wire and hard copper stranded wire Wait.
Soft wiring: Any soft copper stranded wire or various braided wires are called soft wiring. For various occasions requiring a soft connection. Including bare copper flexible wire, bare copper antenna, copper brush wire and copper braided wire, etc.
Profile: It is a kind of conductor with different geometric shapes such as rectangle, trapezoid, gourd, etc., which are made to meet the requirements of wire and cable and electrical equipment components for different purposes. Including flat wire, busbar, special-shaped row and tram line and other products.
(3) Power cables: cables used for power transmission and distribution are called power cables. In cable technology, cables with voltage levels of 35kV and below are usually called medium and low voltage cables; while cables with voltage levels of 110kV and above are called high-voltage cables.
Medium and low voltage power cables mainly include: plastic insulated power cables, rubber insulated power cables, etc. High-voltage power cables include self-contained oil-filled cables and steel-pipe oil-filled cables.
Plastic insulated power cables: including polyvinyl chloride insulated power cables (power cables with polyvinyl chloride insulation), polyethylene insulated power cables (power cables with polyethylene insulation), cross-linked polyethylene insulated power cables (with cross-linked poly vinyl insulated power cables) etc.
Rubber-insulated power cables: Power cables with rubber-insulated layers are rubber-insulated power cables. Including natural styrene-butadiene rubber insulated power cable, ethylene propylene rubber insulated power cable, butyl rubber insulated power cable, etc.
